Adam Gomez is a father of three, a small business owner, and tireless advocate for Veterans. He has experience working within different within different communities fighting at the local, state, and federal levels for the benefits of his constituents. He listens, he fights for, and he responds swiftly to community needs.

 

Adam has years of experience advocating for social justice issues such as criminal justice reform, immigrants’ rights, education, and civil rights.  His passion for helping people has catapulted him into leadership positions like the Home City Housing Board of Directors, Springfield Puerto Rican Day Parade Committee, Founding Member of the Collective Majority, Board of Directors of Hispanic American Library, Board of Directors of Neighbor to Neighbor Education Fund, President of Palante Theatre, Alpha Phi Alphas’ Annual Oratorical Scholarship Competition Judge, and the National Puerto Rican Day Parade Scholarship selection committee for the State of Massachusetts. 

Adam has fought alongside the North End Coalition for the rehabilitation of German Gerena Community School and collaborated with local Unions to ensure that Western Massachusetts residents receive access to sustainable wages and employment opportunities. Adam is the Resident Service Coordinator/Property Manager for the Veterans Outreach Center of Massachusetts Inc. and business owner of a marketing and printing company, Brightwood Press.

Adam currently serves as the Vice President of the Springfield City Council, where he is serving his third term.  He also serves as chair of Economic Development, and holds positions on the committees for Casino Oversight, Finance, and Environment and Sustainability. Adam wants to build a community where everyone has a well-paying job they can get to; where everyone has a home in a safe and healthy neighborhood; and where everyone sends their children to a world-class school. 

As State Senator, Adam will be the champion that we need at the State House. He is a fighter with a vision, and with your vote, together we can win and build a brighter future for Western Mass!
